EoL / EoS MANAGEMENT

The right decisions. Before support ends.

A vendor milestone should not become a budget emergency. Identify devices approaching end of life or support and turn visibility across your fleet into a renewal plan.

FROM VISIBILITY TO DECISIONS

Turn vendor dates into investment decisions.

The EoL/EoS module connects device lifecycle information with your team's decisions. See where to focus analysis, which renewals to prepare and how to explain your priorities.

01

Understand fleet obsolescence

Identify devices reaching end of life or support in the context of your inventory. Replace scattered research with a shared view of affected assets.

02

Anticipate upcoming milestones

Identify upcoming support milestones early enough to scope technical requirements, consult suppliers, procure equipment and prepare the work.

03

Prepare renewal budgets

Base budget discussions on the assets actually affected. Separate urgent replacements from planned investment and spread renewals across budget periods.

04

Prioritize with context

Consider obsolescence alongside each device's role in your network. The same milestone has different implications for a critical core device and a secondary asset.

FAQ

Your questions, answered.

Prepare your project and define your scope.

Which EoL/EoS milestones should we track?

Track the milestones published by the vendor for the relevant model: end of sale, maintenance or support, depending on its terminology. Acronyms and conditions can vary, so retain the vendor context when interpreting a date.

How does the module help with budgeting?

It makes affected equipment and upcoming milestones visible. This helps build a renewal plan, explain priorities and distribute investment. Costs still need to be established using supplier quotes, requirements and architecture choices.

Does a firmware update extend hardware support?

A software update and hardware renewal address different decisions. EoL/EoS management helps plan asset replacement; Firmware Management helps track versions and organize patch campaigns for the relevant devices.
